On 26 April 2018, in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of "Treaty of peace and friendship between China and Japan", embassy of Japanese in China held the Spring Interecommunion in Beijing. Academician Yukio TAMURA was invited to participate. Several hundred people, including Chinese party politicians, scholars and Japanese businessmen, scholars attended the event.

Mr. Yutaka Yokohama made a speech that this year marked the 40th anniversary of the "Treaty of peace and friendship between China and Japan", and is also the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. As the ambassador of Japan, he has a strong belief in building a new bilateral relationship between china and Japan.

At the Interecommunion, some Japanese enterprises demonstrated electrical appliances, medicine, cosmetics and food in Japan, and provided visitors with an experience of Japanese wine culture. Chinese and foreign participants talked about the present and future of China and Japan, as well as to promote the friendship in the vigorous spring Japanese style garden.
